I can’t say enough about the care our fur-babies get here or the abandoned kittens I’ve tried to rescue. This hospital has always shown real kindness and understanding in the most difficult of circumstances AND they do it without trying to make you a huge bill. I am a person of limited means and they have always, always worked with me and offered several options that all really are in the best interest of any animal I have brought in. The care is incomparable! The whole staff treats you and yours like a part of their family. I have tried several vets and even living an hour away, I still make the drive here just for their superior care.
If you genuinely want a vet who is more focused on your fur-babies than they are on making easy money ( and there are lots out there, I know first hand) than you need to bring your babies here. Best animal care you will ever receive!

I first visited during an emergency with one of my pups and ended up using extensive services with another pup. Very kind Doctors and thorough with their communication. The wait times have been a little too long for my comfort but I like knowing that both humans and their pets are being taken care of without being rushed. Thank you to everyone at Edmonton West!!!! We brought our Dotty May in 2 weeks ago today to be spayed and she is almost fully healed and energetic and ever. This is by far the best vet clinic in the city! I shopped around for years trying to find a the combo of good clinic, good vets, and reasonable prices. This place has the best in all categories. Of course it’s best to make an appointment, but I have never had an issue walking in when there was something unexpected. The charges here are sometimes several hundred dollars less than other places for the same procedures, with no loss of quality of care. When I had to put one of my cats down last year my regular vet was away. Even though I had never even met Dr. Sharma before, he was so compassionate and made the terrible situation as easy as possible. I have recommend this clinic to every person with pets that I know, and will continue do so. These vets are there because they really care about taking care of animals. You will not regret visiting!

Can’t go wrong with the price if you choose to come to this clinic. I did and I am very happy with their service and the quality I received from both doctors. I have two senior dogs and both of them had rotten teeth. You can smell their breath from a feet away. It was Sunday when I decided to take one of my dogs for dental care and vaccines with Dr. Gosal. Best decision I ever made. I thought I wouldn’t be able to afford the costs but I was wrong. All I can say is the costs I paid for both senior dogs for dental work including cleaning, extraction (one received full extraction) and vaccines was one third of what you will pay elsewhere. Both Doctors want the best for the animals. Their prices are so reasonable and affordable. You will get the best quality of work with their low prices. Give this clinic a chance, your pet(s) will thanks you and so will your wallet. Both of my senior dogs are much happier since their dental care. My 11 years old will be going back in two weeks to see Dr. Gosal for sagging skin surgery on its back leg. Dr. Gosal already quoted me his price and I don’t think I can get it elsewhere unless it is free of charge. Kudos to the people working in this clinic. I cannot thank you and your staff enough for the amazing work you have done for us.

An absolutely amazing clinic. Not only were they open late on a long weekend they also allowed us to bring in our kitty without an appointment then proceeded to do an emergency procedure that night. Then, because of complications, they had to redo the procedure again (at no extra cost to us) and kept him for an additional 6 days without increasing our bill. We may have went there out of desperation but we will now take all of our animals there religiously. We never once felt pressured or rushed into a decision and Dr. Gosals went over absolutely everything with us perfectly. The ladies answered all of our questions and didn’t even mind my insistent calling. Thank you for saving his life!

We took our cat here. Dr. Gosol helped us. The cat needed surgery. We absolutely had a great experience. Everybody involved were awesome. Dr. Gosol did an outstanding job on our cat’s ear. I would recommend Dr. Gosol and this facility.

I met with Dr. Gosal today and he was extremely knowledgable about possible concerns with my Bernese puppy. The receptionist was friendly and I was happy to be seen on a Sunday with short notice. They sell Royal Canin brand pet food in the lobby, this was an added bonus for me because I needed to restock our prescription cat food. They also let me know they can order food with one day’s notice.

I brought my senior kitty in as a walk in client on a Sunday morning (they are open 365 days a year!) and was able to see a doctor immediately. I was incredibly impressed by front desk staff and the doctor’s kindness and knowledge. They truly took the time to assess my cat thoroughly and do x rays to rule out some issues. They did not push this service on me, they merely offered it, and since I wanted to do everything necessary to make sure I was fully informed about my cat’s health, I opted to do the x Ray. They were even able to send me digital copies of her x rays! I also must say I was expecting a hefty bill for not only being a walk in client, but needing extra services. Not the case! The rates were absolutely reasonable!! This vet office is great, the doctors and staff are professional, and I plan to be back as a regular client! Regular scheduled clients also get a discounted rate on the basic examinations, which is incredible! Highly recommended!

Had my dog sadie spayed here today. They got me in less then a week after I called and the staff was friendly and professional and the procedure went well even with my dog being in heat. Good job to the staff. Clean facility and I didn’t have to wait around to much. I would recommend this veterinary to anyone looking around for one.

I cannot say enough good things about this clinic. It’s a bit of a wait when you make an appointment, sometimes you can wait much longer than you anticipate, but it’s because the doctors are thorough and caring. Their hours are amazing they’re open 8-10 on week days and 9-9 on weekends. You can’t beat that. They’re open 365 days a year, that’s dedication. And their prices are amazing. I adopted a senior dog and brought her in for a checkup and she needed some surgery, they got her in 2 days later. We had a small complication after we brought her home and they were so fantastic about bringing her back in and sorting it out, calming me down and assuring me I didn’t break my dog.

We took our dog in on Christmas Eve. Dr. Gosal did the exam and he was really friendly and answered all our questions. He also got xrays done in just 1/2 hr and showed them to us right away, so we could see that our dog was okay. The staff there are really empathetic to pet owners with a sick animal and give good care!

Visited tonight with my cat as a walk-in, and had a very good experience. All the staff we encountered were extremely kind and pleasant, and the wait was not too long even though we had no appointment. The vet was so gentle and thorough, and she was very upfront with the costs for different tests she recommended, which made us feel very comfortable. I felt the prices were quite reasonable as well, compared to other vets we have visited in the past. The hospital turned a stressful evening into one a little more calm, and we left feeling confident there was resolution to our cats health concern. I will definitely be visiting here in the future, with both my cats

We have taken our cat and dog here for check ups and vaccinations. They have late hours! Till 9pm on Saturday’s and Sunday’s. The rest of the week till 10pm. We have been to a few vets in town and so for this place has been the most affordable. The staff are very pleasant. I highly recommend them!

Fantastic vet…i took my dog there and these guys were really good..theyre not out to grab your money like others I don’t want to mention..highly recommended by me anyway…got a surgery done on my dog to remove a fatty lump the size of a small ball ..my dog healed up nicely can’t even see the scar and I was very happy with the price.it didn’t kill me.

I first took my dog here back in Sept. I was nervous but have been back for follow-up a few times. They take the time to explain to me what is needed without telling me I need all kind of expensive things 1st like many before Edmonton West have? My dog is 12 now & has many allergies I know this as did they recognize this right away too. I am impressed! They have helped him so much at reasonable & realistic prices. It is a great atmosphere, the staff is so friendly yet so professional! Highly recommended!

Brought my dog Baxter in for an exam for his teeth, the vet was so nice and gentle with him. As we were leaving I booked for his dental cleaning later this month. I was impressed!! Since day one when we brought in our puppy at this clinic for initial vaccinations, neutering, nail clipping, boarding… they’d been so amazing! Had my tiny old Pomeranian in for dentistry this week. I was very impressed with the Doctors who showed much kindness toward us. They showed me pictures afterward of what they encountered in her mouth, which I found interesting and I appreciated the time they took upon our exit explaining the take home meds etc. My poor baby had 13 teeth out, but came home hungry and has been doing great ever since. What an absolutely wonderful clinic!
We have had some horror stories of vet clinics in Edmonton, so I’m always scared to bring my dog to a new place. This place had a great set of reviews and were open until 10 pm, so I brought my dog in here for a check-up when she hurt her leg.
The vet is clearly great with animals, and was very gentle and professional with our dog. He was very clear about treatment options, which I was HUGELY grateful for, and warned us of any possible complications (i.e. administering a sedative if our dog was too fidgety for the X-rays).
Treatment was quick, and he brought us in a tablet to show us the X-rays and explain each one. He prescribed some medication and clearly explained and demonstrated how to administer them and happily answered all of my questions.
To boot, the clinic sent in my pet insurance claim form immediately! We are extremely happy, and will likely return.

Our friends at Edmonton West Animal Hospital have taken great care of Turbo since we’ve come back to Edmonton. It was December 24th when Turbo had something in his paw requiring surgery. Dr. Gosal and his team were there to support us and make sure that everything went smooth! Again in June Turbo required another minor surgery and the team at Edmonton West Animal Hospital were phenomenal to deal with. I would not hesitate for one second to recommend them to family and friends.

Woke up to find my kitty Fonzie with a bad abscess on his lower jaw (most likely a fight wound that got infected). My son came over to help me get care for him. He did some research online and found this clinic. We waited an extra hour for them to open instead of going to another one and I am so glad we did! As soon as we arrived, the vibe at the desk from the receptionist was very kind and caring. We got to see Dr. Gosal who is very accomplished in his field (you can read his bio on their site). He was very reassuring and explained everything very clearly and what impressed me the most is that he was able to diagnose my cat who had a very sore jaw without making him cry out in pain… Wow! I had not managed to do that and had been very concerned about Fonzie’s pain level during that process. Then nurse Stephanie came in to explain more about the options on the procedures… She was a darling and I felt how both genuinely cared about my lovely Fonzie. I was also very impressed with the fact that he had a nurse assigned to his care for the duration of his stay. We picked him up later in the afternoon and again, the level of care and genuine affection for my fur baby warmed my heart. And the prices are very reasonable. I decided to adopt them as my new vet clinic and so has my son who has to kitties of his own! I highly recommend this clinic and all its stellar staff <3

This is the best and most reasonable vet we have been to yet. They got us in quickly and after the physical consultation we were told what our options were for tests to run and what the pros and cons of each were. They didn’t push anything on us and we’re very helpful and cared for our Shep cross like she was their own. The prices are fair and worth it. The vet is very warm and friendly. 5 stars is not nearly enough for this place. I’ve taken all my little babies to different vets and never left completely confident or happy. My sister recommended Edmonton West to us and Ill never go anywhere else ever again. They’ve worked on my cats, and my bully breed with no issues, and literally (no, actually LITERALLY) the entire staff is amazing. Took my cat here on a Sunday. I saw a Dr. Gosal. Was very impressed. He was very gentle. Did all tests. Actually explained everything patiently. His staff at front end were much more comforting and very easy to talk too. Much happier experience than another clinic. And I was given free cat food to try. Imagine at no cost. Now that’s a first. Will be bringing my cats for all checkups and shots to this clinic.

This is my second time going to the Edmonton West Animal Hospital and I am pleased with their service and pricing is cheaper than any others. That’s what brought me to go there to begin with and now I drive 30 minutes across the city just to go there. Why? Because the service and pricing can’t be beat. I’ve seen 2 Dr’s and both were nice, calm, gave me tips and information on my puppy’s breed and things to look out for, like breed-specific issues I may come across and actually my pup has crusties at the tip of her ears and he said it’s just poor circulation and there are meds but may not work and he continued on by giving me tips and all that without pushing me to buy meds. This is far beyond what any vet has done for me and I’ve owned pets my whole life.
